Human anti-LukS-PV mAb (175)
Catalog Number: S200-004
Lot: See data sheet
Concentration: See data sheet
Description: Panton-Valentine leucocidin (PVL) is a cytotoxin released by Staphylococcus aureus and causes leukocyte lysis and tissue necrosis. PVL, is a bi-component exotoxin consisting of Leukocidin F (LukF) and Leukocidin S (LukS). Together, the two subunits join together to form beta barrel pores on the membrane of host immune cells such as white blood cells, monocytes and macrophages. The 33kDa structure of LukS has been solved in PDB 1T5R. Eliteimmune’s LukS targeting mAb 175 can be used in toxin neutralization assays (TNA) and is also a useful research tool for ELISAs.

Recommended Dilutions:
ELISA: Assay-dependent dilution. The antibody can be used for capture of LukS-PV in an indirect ELISA assay.
WB: Not recommended for Western Blot because the antibody recognizes conformational epitope.
Neutralization: Assay-dependent dilution
Cross Reactivity: This antibody does not appear to cross react with S. aureus antigens Hla, LukF, SEA, or SEB, at the tested concentrations.
